The Waikato Rivertones – current (2011) New Zealand Chorus champions, 2008 New Zealand Chorus Champions and 2007 World Champion Midsized Chorus. We're a Chapter of Sweet Adelines International and have about 85 women members from throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, King Country and Auckland.

We’re all ages, from 16 to over 70, all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life. We’re students and teachers, doctors and nurses, at-home mums and business women, retired women and just-starting-work women.

We sing because we love it, and because the Waikato Rivertones are at the top of their game. We perform in our own shows and for corporate, community and private events, as well as working hard to compete against the world’s best and constantly improve our craft.

Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organisation committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.

It has more than 25,000 members in 10 countries around the world, and in New Zealand there are more than 20 choruses operating around the country.
